R227ea, heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea, FM200) is a colorless, odorless, low-toxicity, good insulation, and no secondary pollution gas. It has zero depletion potential (ODP) on the atmospheric ozone layer. As a fire extinguishing agent, it is currently the most ideal substitute for halon 1211 and 1301.
