Currently, the R417A is being replaced in EuroperefrigerantIt accounts for more than 80% of the market share and is widely used to replace central air-conditioning refrigerants in shopping malls, hotels, supermarkets and office places. Its energy-saving, environmentally friendly, efficient and simple replacement (no need to replace compressors and expansion valves) has made it the preferred product in Europe to replace R22. In particular, it is the first choice of new energy-saving refrigerant for air source heat pump water heaters.

Main uses of R417a
R417A is an HFC refrigerant with zero ODP. It can directly replace direct expansion fixed air conditioning systems using R22 and medium temperature commercial refrigeration systems. Simple and convenient to use. Applications: Air source heat pump water heaters, domestic and commercial air conditioning systems. Note: For chillers,R422DIt is more suitable for medium-temperature commercial refrigeration systems, including: 1) catering refrigeration 2) supermarket display cabinets 3) food storage and processing.
Lubricating oil use recommendations: R417A is compatible with traditional and newrefrigerant oil, including: mineral oil (MO), alkylbenzene lubricants (AB), and ester lubricants (POE). In most cases, the replacement process does not require changing the lubricant type.

R417A (R417A (R125/R134a/R600 blend)) has an ODP of 0 and is not an ozone-depleting substance, and therefore is not bound by the Montreal Protocol phase-out schedule; but as a fluorinated greenhouse gas (F-gas, GWP 2280), it is controlled under the Kigali Amendment and the HFC reduction policies of major economies.
