R1270 is a natural refrigerant with the advantages of large cooling capacity and high COP. Environmental protection performance (ozone depletion potential value is 0, greenhouse effect potential value is low) and basic thermophysical properties are good (cooling capacity per unit mass and cooling capacity per unit volume are greater than R22, exhaust temperature is lower than R22, latent heat of vaporization and thermal conductivity are both greater than R22), and some basic thermophysical properties (saturated vapor pressure) are similar to R22. It has excellent thermodynamic properties and good system cycle performance, and is a promising pure substitute for R22. Under the same conditions, the system refrigeration capacity of R1270 and R22 is basically the same. Compared with the R22 refrigeration system, the energy efficiency ratio of R1270 is increased by 6.5%, the charge capacity is reduced by 51%, and the compression ratio is reduced by 27%. On the premise of meeting the refrigeration capacity, by optimizing the evaporator, changing the diameter of the evaporator from 7mm to 5mm, reducing the number of U-shaped tubes, and changing the flow path layout, an R1270 prototype test with only changing the evaporator was carried out. The results show that the refrigeration capacity of the R1270 and R22 systems is basically the same. The energy efficiency ratio of the R1270 refrigeration system is 3.31. Compared with the R22 refrigeration system, the energy efficiency ratio is increased by 12.6%, and the charge capacity is reduced by 55%.
