Trifluoropropylmethyl cyclotrisiloxane (D3F, CAS No.: 2374-14-3) is a monomer of fluorosilicone polymers and is used to make fluorosilicone rubber, fluorosilicone grease, fluorosilicone oil, fluorosilicone coatings, etc. D3F not only gives general silanes superior heat resistance, weather resistance, water repellency, and mold release properties, but also has the properties of waterproof, oil and solvent resistance, and low surface tension of fluorinated compounds. It has been well developed and applied in important industrial sectors such as automobiles, aircraft, aerospace, petrochemicals, and machinery. The fluorosilicone material developed from this product can meet the requirements of harsh working conditions, and is resistant to solvents, fuel, acid and alkali resistance and other occasions that require extremely high material performance. It can also be used as a raw material for pesticides and cosmetics alone. It can be copolymerized with a variety of monomers and is an intermediate for synthesizing drugs and cosmetic surfactants.
