R454C refrigerant

R454C is a weakly flammable refrigerant with a warming potential (GWP) of less than 150 and can be used to replace R404A and R22 in new equipment designs. It is a low-GWP hydrofluoroolefin (HFO)-based refrigerant with balanced performance and can replace R404A and R22 in positive displacement, direct expansion medium-to-low temperature commercial and industrial applications.

ASHRAE has a security level of A2L. Performance is similar to R404A and R22; compatible with polyol ester (POE) lubricants; and can be re-added if leaks occur.

R454C is a better match for R22-based technology, but it is also an effective solution for R404A devices. The GWP is 148, and in the F-Gas regulations and ecological design requirements, its value is 150.
