Chlorine-containing disinfectants are currently widely used disinfectants and are widely used in disinfection in various water fields. In order to inhibit the re-propagation of residual bacteria, viruses and other microorganisms in the water, after the water has been disinfected with chlorine-containing disinfectants for a period of time, there should be a proper amount of residual chlorine in the water to ensure continuous sterilization ability. However, when the residual chlorine content is too high, it can easily cause secondary pollution of water, often cause the production of carcinogens, cause hemolytic anemia, etc., which has a certain harmful effect on human health. Therefore, effective control and detection of residual chlorine content is crucial in water treatment. Traditional residual chlorine detection methods are quite complicated. Water residual chlorine detection reagents greatly simplify operations, reduce testing costs, have remarkable results, and reliable data.

Product principle: Test according to the national standard DPD method.

Product use: Rapid and accurate detection of residual chlorine content in water. It is used for on-site rapid testing in various water use fields such as industry, agriculture, aquaculture, medical care, environmental protection, and daily life.

Product features:
1. Fast and simple: Users do not need special training, follow the instructions, and a water sample test can be completed in 5 minutes.
2. Accurate and reliable: The measurement results are the same as those of the national standard and can be used as an alternative to the national standard.
3. High sensitivity: The reagent is highly sensitive to residual chlorine, and can be accurate to a minimum of 0.05mg/L.
4. Low price: The cost per test is very low.
5. Easy to carry: small size, light weight, suitable for rapid on-site testing.

Usage method:
1. Rinse the colorimetric tube twice with the water sample to be tested, then use the colorimetric tube to measure the water sample to be tested and adjust it to the 15ml mark of the colorimetric tube with a plastic dropper.
2. Scoop 1 flat spoon of residual chlorine reagent (after scooping out the medicinal powder, you can use a colorimetric card to scrape it off the surface of the spoon) and add it to a colorimetric tube, shake well and dissolve it.
3. After the powder is dissolved, the color comparison can be started, and the color comparison should be completed within 5 minutes. Place the colorimetric tube vertically at a position 1 cm high from the blank of the colorimetric card and visually compare the color from top to bottom to find the color code with the same color as the liquid in the tube, and you can read the residual chlorine content of the water sample to be tested.

Notes:
1. The detection range of residual chlorine content in this product is 0.05-1.0mg/L. If the residual chlorine content of the water sample to be tested is higher than the upper limit of the test, the water sample can be diluted with distilled water before testing, read the number and then multiply it by the corresponding dilution multiple.
2. If the powder is somewhat agglomerated, you can crush it with a spoon before using it. Because the reagent itself is excessive, a slight change in the amount each time after scraping the spoon will not affect the test results.
3. If the water sample is turbid, it can be filtered or left to clarify, and then the supernatant can be taken for testing.
4. The pH value of the water sample to be tested must be within the range of 5-8.
5. The presence of other oxidants interferes with this method.
6. Try to compare color under good light.
7. If it comes into contact with skin or eyes during use, wash it with water.

Related knowledge: Several forms of chlorine exist in water:
Residual chlorine (free chlorine): Chlorine in the form of hypochlorous acid, hypochlorite ions and dissolved elemental chlorine.
Combined chlorine: Part of total chlorine in the form of chloramines and organochloramines.
Total chlorine: Chlorine that exists as residual chlorine or combined chlorine or both.
