Overview
Ethyl trifluoroacetate (TFAE) is a colorless liquid with an ester odor. If it contains water, it can affect its boiling point. It can form a ternary azeotropic mixture with water and ethanol with a boiling point of 54℃. Flammable, toxic, and corrosive. Mainly used in the manufacture of organic fluorides and pharmaceuticals (Cellovir, a special drug for treating arthritis, lisinopril, a special drug for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, efavirenz, a special drug for anti-AIDS, a new coronavirus treatment drug for "Nematvir Tablets"/"Paxlovid", a diabetes drug "sitagliptin", an antipyretic analgesic "celecoxib", a special drug for cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases "lisinopril", a drug for treating baldness "finasteride", etc.), pesticide intermediates, organic synthetic blocks.
